This little man wanted nothing to do with sleep... and that's okay. Usually, babies are not used to the lights, the clicks and the shuffle of a new person moving them around. They can change from your sleepy little baby to an unknown wide-eyed baby. And that's okay!

Wedding on the Water | DiMillos in Portland Maine

When Jennifer reached out to me, I was elated. I've known Jenn for a while and met Ryan recently at their family session this past summer. The way they look at each other, or TO each other, is a lesson we should all internalize. Both parents of young children, I saw them look at each other with love and acceptance. They look to each other when one kiddo wouldn't smile, or one wanted to run. I saw them leaning on each other and I saw it instantly. It was a fun, warm summer evening and as always with kids, they want to play. But I noticed something unique... this little family all helped each other out - sister helped brother when he couldn't find the shell he wanted. Ryan helped sister step over the sticks to get to her rock. It was awesome.

So when I received the call to ask me to photograph their wedding, I was pumped! I see their love clearly... and I as you all know, I love love. Perfect fit. :)

I also love that they chose a winter wedding! This winter wedding was exactly what you'd imagine - even with some snowflakes!

Venue Highlight: Diamond Cove Portland, Maine Wedding

I believe a venue can make or break a wedding. The coordination for an event is way more intricate and difficult than most people realize. Trusting this to just anyone can lead to guest confusion on your day, or worse trouble for you beforehand (double booking dates, not being ready on time, etc.). This venue is not only truly unique (hello, you have to take a ferry to get there!), but it's ocean-themed, wide open to the outside, and run by top-notch professionals. Their wedding packages also include a 'Day of event on-site Wedding Coordinator'!
